AquaTower Desalination Plant
Operates on water desalination using Reverse Osmosis (RO) system.
The AquaTower purification filters is distinguished by its ability to remove all sediments, impurities, dirt, and harmful chemicals produced by connections and underground installations, as well as removing chlorine and adjusting the amount of dissolved salts in the water according to World Health Organization standards, while preserving the beneficial elements needed by the body. It also features high capacity for removing 98% of dissolved salts, 99% of organic materials, viruses, bacteria, and sodium.
Purification Stages Inside the AquaTower Plant:
Stage 1: PP The PP filter is made of fine polypropylene fibers with 5-micron pores. It is one of the best types of filters that trap rust, dust, sand, and suspended impurities in the water and acts as a primary purification stage in the desalination unit.
Stage 2: UDF The UDF filter is an activated carbon filter made from fine carbon granules capable of removing color, taste, and odor, ensuring chlorine-free water. This stage effectively increases the surface area of the carbon, which has a high capacity to absorb impurities.
Stage 3: CTO The CTO filter is a solid carbon filter responsible for removing chlorine, taste, and odor from the water. It serves as a confirmation stage for the second stage to ensure high water quality.
Stage 4: RO The RO membrane (Reverse Osmosis membrane) is used to remove excess salts, viruses, bacteria, and heavy metals from the water with a removal rate of 98% and a salt concentration up to 5000 ppm.
Stage 5: Post Carbon The Post Carbon filter enhances the water’s color and taste to ensure the highest purity, removes chlorine, and makes the water crystal clear.
Stage 6: Alkaline The Alkaline filter adjusts the acidity and alkalinity of the water, ensuring a pH higher than 7, and adds beneficial minerals to the water.
Stage 7: Mineral The Mineral filter contains active carbon granules, calcite, corosex, and ceramic balls. It helps in ionizing the water, removing ammonia and nitrates, improving taste, removing odors, and providing mineral-rich water. It also increases the water’s pH value.
